About Word & Web
Julia Wilk first began offering freelance translation services in 2009 when she was an undergraduate studying at McGill University. Over the years, she grew her client base and began branching out, offering a wider variety of services and honing her skills. Throughout the years, she made many connections with other professionals and eventually settled in scenic rural Vermont.
In 2017, she put her programming skills to use and completed a W3Cx online course in HTML5 alongside a few small web development projects using both Squarespace and Wordpress. The moniker "Julia Wilk Word Services" was retired and Word & Web was born! Soon after, she established an office in Hardwick, Vermont as part of the Vermont Tech Collective.
Julia loves to work with Squarespace and the Divi theme for Wordpress, but she’ll build on most platforms. She recommends Cloudways as her host of choice. Click here to open a Cloudways account with her affiliate link.
Julia has been designing websites since 2017. With a background in languages and a comfort with all things technical, web design and content coordination is an obvious fit for her skills. As a small business owner herself (Word& Web, Vermont Device Clinic) Julia particularly loves working with startups and cottage industries.
